Videoconference, 10 June 2026 — The 93rd meeting of the European Aviation and Environment Working Group was held in two sessions, bringing together experts from ECAC Member States, European organisations and industry stakeholders to exchange views on key environmental topics ahead of the second Steering Group meeting of the current cycle of work for the ICAO Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection (CAEP/14), to be held in Montreal in October 2026.

The first session provided an opportunity for technical experts and industry stakeholders to discuss developments in ongoing CAEP work, with particular focus on aircraft engine emissions and aircraft noise. Participants exchanged perspectives on current studies, standard-setting activities and emerging challenges, highlighting the value of continued dialogue between regulators, technical experts and industry.

The second session, held in the EAEG-CAEP format, enabled experts to share updates from across the various CAEP work streams and discuss recent developments in the CAEP/14 cycle.

Together, the two sessions strengthened technical awareness and understanding among participants, supporting continued engagement in ICAO’s work to address aviation’s environmental impact.
