Rome/videoconference, 17 June 2026 — More than 90 participants, comprising industry representatives, regulators from the CEP Management Group, and experts from CEP participating test centres, gathered in person and online for the 17th Manufacturers’ Information Session on the ECAC Common Evaluation Process (CEP).
Hosted by the Italian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) at the Aeroporti di Roma Innovation Hub, the meeting provided participants with updates on the implementation of the new CEP procedures, including configuration change management (CCM) reviews, as well as updates on ongoing testing activities and on the participation of the United States Transportation Security Administration (TSA) as an Associated Authority to the CEP.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss manufacturers’ proposals to improve transparency, testing efficiency and test centres’ debriefing practices, and to explore future cooperation between the CEP and industry to support the continued evolution of the process.
The session concluded with presentations from manufacturers on emerging technologies and configuration change approaches, followed by an open exchange of views on current and future CEP activities.
