Videoconference, 26 June 2026 — Bringing together chairs from across ECAC security groups, under the leadership of the ECAC Focal Point for Security, the 47th meeting of the ECAC Security Programme Management Group (SPMG/47) considered the draft mid-term review of implementation of the 2025-2027 ECAC work programme in the field of aviation security, discussed the first draft of the main orientations for the 2028-2030 work programme, and assessed the implementation status of the 2026 work programmes of the various ECAC security groups.
During the meeting, the group approved a proposal from the Study Group on Explosive Detection Dogs to establish a new workstream on the detection of improvised incendiary devices by explosive detection dogs.
For the first time, the meeting was chaired by David Benito (DGCA Spain) following his recent appointment as the new Focal Point for Security.
