16 June 2022 - The ECAC/EU Sustainable Aviation Fuels Task Group (SAF-TG) met virtually to consider the policy recommendations arising from the SAF Policy Toolkit developed in 2021 by Clean Skies for Tomorrow, an initiative led by the World Economic Forum aimed at promoting the decarbonisation of the aviation sector.

15 June 2022 - An ad hoc meeting of the Economic Working Group to discuss the implications of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on air services agreements analysed the current situation from several angles and discussed the consequences for operators, connectivity, and the competitive landscape. The participants noted that further exchanges on a bilateral level would be helpful to explore how best to handle the current challenges; however, they agreed that consultations and negotiations should continue to be the first tool in seeking to restore balance to the application of air service agreements.
