Munich, 29-30 May 2025 — Following a decision taken at the 22nd meeting of the ECAC Certified Aviation Security Auditors Group (AUD/22, April 2024), ECAC organised a workshop for audit team leaders that was held immediately after the 23rd annual meeting of the ECAC Certified Aviation Security Auditors Group (AUD/23).
The workshop aimed to strengthen the pool of experienced auditors ready to take on team leader roles in future ECAC security audits, while also encouraging and supporting emerging talents interested in assuming this important responsibility.
Its main objective was to equip ECAC auditors with the practical knowledge and leadership skills required to effectively lead future ECAC audits. Through the exchange of best practices and a review of lessons learnt, the workshop provided a valuable platform to build confidence and competence in leading international audit teams, while promoting leadership development within the ECAC auditor community.
Two experienced ECAC auditors from Germany and Ireland served as instructors, sharing their extensive experience and insights from leading past ECAC audits. Their contributions offered practical guidance and served as a valuable resource for auditors preparing to step into the leadership role.
