
Biography
Georgia Lykou works for the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA) as head of the Environmental Protection Regulation and Oversight Department, where she deals with regulation, certification, and supervision of environmental protection issues in civil aviation.
She is a member of the technical Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection (CAEP) in ICAO, while she represents Greece in EAEG/ECAC and other international organisations and environmental forums.
In her career path, Georgia has been working for many years in various departments, gaining significant experience in engineering design, technical services, environmental protection, air navigation systems, and infrastructure management.
She holds a PhD from the Department of Informatics, Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), in the field of cyber security and critical aviation infrastructure protection, and three postgraduate degrees: i) MSc in Applied Environmental Protection Policies and Techniques, European University of Cyprus ii) MSc in Information Systems, AUEB, iii) Executive MBA, AUEB. She also holds two BSc degrees in Energy Technology Engineering, and Computer Science.
