
Dimitris Kyprianou
CEP Programme Manager
Dimitris joined the ECAC Secretariat in February 2024 as Programme Manager for the ECAC Common Evaluation Process of security equipment (CEP). In this role, he oversees the effective delivery of CEP activities, including coordinating workstreams, preparing technical papers and meeting documentation, liaising with CEP participating authorities and test centres, delivering CEP testing outcomes to ECAC Member States, and supporting quality assurance activities and the financial oversight of the CEP.
Before joining ECAC, Dimitris spent nine years at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) as a scientific project officer, managing projects that provided EU policy support in aviation security, threat detection and prevention. His responsibilities included management of quality assurance activities linked to the development and production of the Commission’s explosives trace detection test kits and explosive detection dogs training aids, as well as supporting end-user training. He also has experience as a chemical analyst and in pharmaceutical R&D.
