Videoconference, 10 September 2025 — The ECAC Study Group on Cyber Security in Civil Aviation convened virtually to advance its work on aviation cyber security initiatives.

Participants reviewed progress under the 2025 work programme, noting the completion of several guidance documents, including new material on cyber standards for security equipment. The group also assessed ongoing work on guidance for identifying critical systems and data, agreeing to extend the work into three phases through 2027, with a revised timeline.

Members discussed recommended updates to the group’s terms of reference, proposing adjustments to reflect recent developments, including the removal of the ad hoc group on screening equipment.

Looking ahead to 2026, the programme will feature the next phase of criticality guidance, a survey of Member States’ needs, and thematic exchanges on equipment vulnerabilities.
