Videoconference, 29-30 September 2025 — Members of the Training Task Force reviewed progress on the implementation of the group’s 2025 work programme at their online meeting in September.
Among the outcomes was the completion of three new documents for the ECAC Aviation Security Handbook, including one on best practices on root-cause analyses and human factors, as well as revised guidance on criteria for screener certification.
Looking ahead, the task force agreed to begin work on new documents in 2026, covering innovations in security recruitment, training and certification, as well as scoring methods for x-ray image interpretation testing.
