Rome, 27 October 2025 — Members of the Facilitation Sub-group on the Transport of Persons with Reduced Mobility (PRM) met in Rome with operators responsible for supporting the air travel of passengers with reduced mobility.

This sixth annual meeting brought together representatives from the aviation sector and organisations specialising in PRM issues, providing ECAC Member States with a broader platform for dialogue and cooperation.

Discussions focused on the outcomes of the latest Airport Council International Report on assistance to persons with reduced mobility and persons with disabilities, as well as on the initial findings of the European Disability Forum’s Human Rights Report on air passenger rights, which is due to be published at the end of November.

Rome, 28 October 2025 — The Facilitation Sub-group on the Transport of Persons with Reduced Mobility (PRM) met in Rome to advance ECAC’s work in this area and review progress under its 2025 work programme, with particular attention to activities planned for next year.

Participants discussed the development of standards and policies to support passengers travelling with assistance dogs, updates to PRM-related sections of ECAC’s policy statement document in the field of facilitation (Doc 30, Part I), and issues concerning prenotifications.

Looking ahead, the sub-group agreed to include a dedicated session on PRM complaints in next year’s work programme, drawing on the results of the ECAC PRM survey and addressing prenotification challenges identified by ECAC Member States and regulated entities.
