Videoconference, 3 and 8 December 2025 — Two informal online briefing sessions were held in December for ECAC Security Forum members, focusing on recent developments and upcoming activities.
The sessions provided updates on the main outcomes of the most recent Security Programme Management Group meeting, held on 10 November 2025, as well as other relevant information, including the schedule of ICAO AVSEC Panel meetings in 2026.
Particular attention was given to the security-related decisions taken at the 165th meeting of Directors General of Civil Aviation on 4 December 2025, notably the endorsement of the principles and measures for the evolution of the CEP applicable as of 2026 (“CEP 2.0”).
These briefings form part of an initiative launched by the Security Forum chair in 2025 to strengthen the network of European aviation security experts and enhance information sharing among the Member States participating in the Security Forum. During the last Security Forum meeting (28-30 October 2025), several Member States expressed strong appreciation for these short, informal exchanges and confirmed their support for continuing this approach in 2026.
