Berlin/videoconference, 3-4 September 2025 — The Behaviour Detection (BD) Study Group met to review the outcomes of the 6th Behaviour Detection Research and Development Workshop, held in Berlin on 2-3 September 2025, and to assess progress on the implementation of its 2025 work programme.
By the end of October 2025, several key deliverables are expected to be finalised: a revised version of Doc 30, Part II (Security) Chapter 15 on behaviour detection, two new ECAC Aviation Security Handbook documents, as well as the BDSG’s 2026-2030 strategy.
The group also welcomed a colleague from the French Border Police, who shared valuable insights into the BD programme implemented by French police forces.
Looking ahead, members agreed on priorities for the 2026 work programme, which will be discussed at the next Security Programme Management Group meeting in November.
