Montreal, 23 September - 3 October 2026 — Europe has reaffirmed its presence and contribution to international aviation governance, securing eight seats on the newly elected ICAO Council.
France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom were successfully re-elected, while Denmark (NORDICAO), Poland (CERG), and Switzerland (ABIS) became new States on the Council.
We extend our warm congratulatios to all elected Member States from Europe and other regions, and look forward to their active and constructive engagement in the Council’s work over the next three years.
