Montreal, 23 September 2025 — Discussions with the Republic of Korean delegation, led by Deputy Minister for Civil Aviation Jongwan Joo, focused on shared priorities in advancing sustainability and innovation within aviation.
Key topics included supporting the ACT SAF initiative, with Korea presenting its new roadmap for sustainable aviation fuel production and use, and exploring the opportunities and risks of artificial intelligence in aviation.
Both parties emphasised the importance of global cooperation and collaboration in shaping ICAO’s future. The meeting underlined the strong ties between ECAC and the Republic of Korea and their commitment to a safe, sustainable and innovative aviation sector.
