Committee members review outcomes of the ICAO Assembly and ECAC’s strategic priorities
Paris / online, 3 November 2022 — At its first meeting after the ICAO Assembly, the ECAC Coordinating Committee reviewed the outcomes of the Assembly, and in particular the performance of European candidates in the ICAO Council elections and the process for establishing a list of European candidates for future elections.
Among other items in a busy meeting, the Committee made financial decisions on the future funding of the ECAC Common Evaluation Process for security equipment, endorsed planned changes to travel rules, agreed to the organisation of a pilot workshop on diversity, and commissioned a proposal on ECAC work on sustainable aviation fuels to be brought to the meeting of Directors General in December 2022.
