Behaviour Detection Study Group discusses 2022 tasks
15-16 February 2022 - The ECAC Behaviour Detection Study Group held its first meeting of 2022 online to agree on the working methods to deliver its 2022 work programme within the set target dates. Discussion covered how to best link the online training methodology for behaviour detection (BD) with the model training programme for BD officers, and developing common research standards on the effectiveness of BD programmes.
A draft checklist to assess the BD programmes of Member States wishing to join the study group, and guidelines for such States on how to present their programmes, were among the papers reviewed at the meeting.
The group agreed to continue to work on improving BD mentoring activities by defining different mentoring levels depending on States’ capabilities to act as mentors and the needs of States requesting mentorship.
