Flor Diaz Pulido - DG MOVE, European Commission
Biography
After studying law at the ULPG (University of Las Palmas of Gran Canaria) and the Autonomous University of Barcelona and completing a master’s degree in European law at Granada University, Flor Diaz Pulido followed up studies in diplomacy and international relations at the “CEI International Affairs” of Barcelona, including short periods at Cambridge University, Sciences Politiques (Paris) and the "Hautes Études Internationales" in Geneva.
She started her career as European Commission official in 1995 in the Legal Affairs department of DG Fisheries. She joined the Directorate General for Energy and Transport in 2000. She focused mainly on aviation and maritime transports, internal market, competition law, consumer affairs related to transport and passenger rights. Flor was appointed deputy head of the Passenger Rights Unit in DG MOVE in 2010.
In 2013, she joined DG GROW (Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs) as deputy head of Unit C2 Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials. In 2017, she joined the European Space Policy (currently DG DEFIS-Defence and Space) as deputy head of unit in the direction of the Galileo space programme. Flor came back to DG MOVE in June 2018, where she is currently the head of the Aviation Policy Unit, in charge of sustainability policies of the aviation sector and the internal market of aviation and airport services, as well as coordination with ECAC and ICAO.
