Dan Micklethwaite - United Kingdom
Biography
Dan was appointed as United Kingdom Director General for Civil Aviationin summer 2016. He is responsible for overall UK policy on aviation. Dan previously held a number of senior positions at Her Majesty's Treasury (the UK’s economics and finance ministry). During the last four years he was the principal adviser to the Chancellor of the Exchequer on UK transport policy, and oversaw the UK national transport budget. Prior to that, Dan held the roles of head of strategy and head of economic growth, also at the UK Treasury. He has also spent some time working as a consultant at Deloitte earlier in his career.
