Michel Wachenheim - ASD Europe
Biography
Michel Wachenheim is a graduate of the École Polytechnique in Paris and of the French National Civil Aviation School in Toulouse (ENAC). He was the director general of civil aviation in France from 2002 to 2007. From 2007 to 2013, he was chief of staff of the Minister of Transports, then Ambassador representing France at ICAO. He chaired the 38th ICAO Assembly in 2013. Since 2014 he has been senior adviser to the president and CEO of Airbus, and chairman of the ASD Civil Aviation Business Unit. He was recently elected as president of Air and Space Academy, a European non-governmental organisation, and took up this new duty on 1 January 2021.
